Indian Maritime University (IMU), Chennai, invites applications for admission to following UG/PG programmes of Academic Year 2016



The Indian Maritime University (IMU) was established on 14th November 2008 as a teaching and affiliating university under the Ministry of Shipping, Govt. of India, with Chennai as headquarters . The overall ranking list has been uploaded on the official website of the University. For the benefit of candidates who appeared for the Common Entrance Test (CET), a direct link to the Indian Maritime University Result has also been hosted on our website. The common admission test was conducted by the University, for the admission of meritorious candidates to various undergraduate programmes and MBA and M.Tech programmes offered at IMU and its 36 affiliated.It was set up to promote maritime studies, training, reasearch and extension with focus on emerging areas like oceanography, maritime history, maritime laws, maritime security, search and rescue, transportation of dangerous cargo, environmental studies and other related fields, and to acheive exellence in these areas institutes. Indian Maritime University (IMU) is a Central University that was established by an Act of the Parliament in the year 2008. The University has been established under the Ministry of Shipping of the Government of India. IMU was primarily set up to promote maritime studies and training and research in emerging areas of studies like maritime history, oceanography, maritime security, maritime laws, environmental studies, transportation of dangerous cargo, search and rescue and other related fields
